Wakeel reads the document you upload and produces a plain-language summary, a list of key dates and obligations, and clauses worth flagging for a lawyer — indemnity clauses, penalty or liquidated-damages clauses, arbitration or exclusive-jurisdiction clauses, automatic-renewal terms, and termination conditions are the categories that most often hide the real risk in an otherwise routine-looking agreement. This works the same whether the document is a rent agreement, an employment contract, a legal notice, or a court order someone has sent you.
One limit worth being explicit about: communications with Wakeel are not privileged the way communications with a licensed advocate are. Under Article 9 of the Qanun-e-Shahadat Order, 1984, professional communications between a client and their lawyer are legally protected from disclosure — that specific protection is a feature of the advocate-client relationship, not something an AI tool can extend to you. If a document is sensitive enough that privilege matters, discuss it directly with your lawyer rather than only through a general-purpose tool.
Why 'AI reviewed it' should never be the last step before you sign
